Brian DeJarnett HELLO I'M

I am an Executive/Engineer/Test Pilot, specializing in operational excellence and delivery of precision-engineered products and complex systems, on-time and on-budget.  I am a future-focused business pioneer, pro-actively tackling the most difficult technical and non-technical challenges in order to produce sustained excellence in all aspects of advanced technology development.  I have repeated success delivering “first ever” technology.

READ ABOUT BRIAN

I am a technical visionary using a strong entrepreneurial spirit to create revolutionary technologies, including the development of new aircraft, aerospace and subsea systems, and advanced turbomachinery.  Leveraging a background as a U.S. Navy Test Pilot with 20+ years of flight experience to design, build & test cutting-edge systems for the aerospace, defense and energy industries, including high-risk flight testing and multiple “first flight” events.  As a program lead, I engineered and testes 8 major defense and aerospace products, along with integrated suite of tactical avionics enabling delivery of the FA-18E/F Block III Super Hornet.

When I view manufacturing operations, I see the organization both as it currently exists, and as the future optimized version of itself.  I then create strategies to grow the organization, its people, and processes, to progress from the current state into this future vision.  My methodology for improvement leverages lean manufacturing principles to create continuous process refinements, augmented with strategic innovation to generate threshold shifts in performance and capabilities.  I am the author of a US Patent for advanced turbomachinery systems.  Through this revolutionary technology I was able to reduce the unit size/weight by 35% and increase market applicability by 10X.

READ BUSINESS INNOVATION

My military path of professional growth would lead me to serve as Program Manager and Flight Test Officer for a portfolio of high performance aircraft development.  Further developing my professional capabilities in a fortune 500 corporate environment, I targeted a path that would enable me to refine my skills as the programmatic and technical lead for the commercial development and fabrication of high-precision hardware projects, including advanced turbomachinery, fluid/mechanical systems, and structures and tanks for high-pressure environments

READ PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

I shaped my career based upon a model of incremental development towards aerospace innovation since the age of 12.  Impassioned at this young age, I sought a meeting with Congressman Ralph Hall, then Chairman of the House Committee on Science, Space & Technology.  Under his guidance, I advanced step-by-step towards my goal of becoming a test pilot for high-performance aircraft, earning my Private Pilot license at age 18, graduating the Naval Academy with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, amassing 2,000+ hours flying the F-14 and FA-18 aircraft, and being selected as 1 of 5 officers in all of Naval Aviation to attend the Navy Test Pilot School / Post-Graduate School co-op program.
